Lodge St. Bryde No. 579 was Chartered by The Grand Lodge of Scotland on 7th. February 1876.
We have continually met in Uddingston since that date and our Lodge has in its possession a complete minute which traces not only the history of the Lodge but importantly the history of our village and the surrounding area.
Our present Masonic Hall was built in 1924 and is one of the finest examples of a building of its type in Scotland.

Centenary Meeting of Willem van Oranje Lodge No. 118 Grand East of The Netherlands.
On Saturday 7th. July, Bro. Duncan Mulholland, RWM accompanied by Bros. Stuart Jack, David Shaw and James L. Jack attended the Centenary Meeting of Willem van Oranje Lodge No. 3976 E.C. The reason for the visit was to pay respects to our late Bro. Cprl. Joseph Reid, DCM who was a Founder Member of the Lodge on 6th. July 1918. The Lodge is unique in that it was formed by British prisoners of war who had been held in Germany for more than eighteen months.
